A Two-Day UK Destination Wedding at Casa de los Bates

This two-day celebration, built around a UK destination wedding at Casa de los Bates, brought together guests from London, Paris and beyond for two unforgettable events on Spain’s southern coast.

A Pool Party at Villa del Mar in Nerja

The celebrations began at Villa del Mar in Nerja, where the couple welcomed their guests with a relaxed pool party in the Andalusian sunshine.

I helped connect the couple with the venue and provided the music for this first part of their destination wedding experience. It gave friends and family arriving from different cities and countries an opportunity to meet, relax and begin celebrating together.

The atmosphere developed naturally throughout the event. What started as a relaxed afternoon beside the pool became a lively evening celebration, with Afrobeats, Amapiano, R&B and UK favourites bringing the guests together on the dancefloor.

It was the perfect beginning to a wedding celebration built around music, friendship and the experience of bringing everyone together in southern Spain.

As the sun went down, the relaxed poolside atmosphere transformed into an energetic dancefloor filled with Afrobeats, Amapiano, R&B and UK favourites.

A UK Destination Wedding at Casa de los Bates

The main wedding celebration took place at Casa de los Bates, a historic wedding venue near Motril in Granada Province.

Surrounded by established gardens, terraces and elegant architecture, the venue provided a beautiful setting for the couple’s outdoor destination wedding. The different areas of the property allowed each part of the day to have its own atmosphere, from the arrival of the guests and outdoor dinner to speeches and the evening party.

As the DJ, my role extended beyond the final dancefloor. I provided musical and technical support throughout the wedding day, including music for the reception and dinner as well as wireless microphones for the speeches.

For a wedding using several areas of a venue, careful preparation is essential. The music, sound equipment and important moments of the day need to remain coordinated as the celebration moves from one part of the property to another.

Music, Live Saxophone and Local Support

Through my local wedding network, I also connected the couple with saxophonist Robbie Evans, adding a live musical element to the celebration.

While the saxophone accompanied part of the day, I prepared the outdoor party area and completed the technical transition from dinner to the evening dancefloor. This ensured that the party could begin smoothly once the formal part of the celebration had finished.

For couples organising a destination wedding from abroad, reliable local contacts can make the planning process considerably easier. Clear communication between the couple, venue, musicians and other wedding professionals helps the entire celebration flow naturally.

An Open-Air Dancefloor Under the Andalusian Sky

After dinner and the speeches, the celebration moved into the outdoor party area at Casa de los Bates.

The atmosphere changed from an elegant outdoor dinner to a high-energy party beneath the Andalusian night sky. With guests from London, Paris and several different backgrounds, the music needed to connect a wide range of tastes without losing the couple’s personal style.

The dancefloor moved through Afrobeats, Amapiano, UK hip-hop, R&B and international party favourites. Rather than relying on a fixed generic playlist, I followed the energy of the guests and allowed the music to develop naturally throughout the night.

The result was a packed dancefloor and a joyful celebration that felt personal to the couple and their guests. Different generations and musical influences came together, creating the kind of atmosphere that makes international destination weddings so memorable.

As the sun went down, the terrace transformed into a high-energy open-air dancefloor, with guests from London and Paris celebrating to Afrobeats, Amapiano, UK hip-hop, R&B and more.

Planning a Casa de los Bates Wedding

A Casa de los Bates wedding can include several distinct areas for the reception, dinner, speeches and evening party. This makes advance technical and musical planning particularly important, especially when microphones, live musicians or separate sound setups are required.

For international couples travelling from the UK or elsewhere in Europe, working with wedding professionals who understand destination weddings can provide valuable peace of mind.

Based near Nerja, I provide personalised music planning, professional sound, wireless microphones and full-day DJ support for weddings in Motril, Granada Province and across Andalucía.

If you are planning a wedding at Casa de los Bates or looking for a Wedding DJ in Granada, I would love to hear about your date, venue and musical ideas.
